Namibia - Land Of Contrast

Namibia is a vast land, wedged between the cold Atlantic seaboard and the shifting sand of the world's oldest desert, the Namib, in the West and the vast Kalahari in the East and between the rocky scrubland and plains of the South and the wooded Savannah and densely wooded bushveld of the Okavango and Caprivi in the North.

Namibia has an enormous diversity of highlights to offer including the world's second largest canyon, the Fish River Canyon, the highest sand dunes in the world at Sossusvlei, the bizarre desert plant Welwitchia Mirabilis that lives for more than a 1000 years, one of the most hostile places on earth, the Skeleton coast Park, excellent game viewing in Etosha National Park, one of the most extensive rock art galleries in Africa at Twyfelfontein and ghost towns from a bygone diamond era.

Botswana

Botswana is a unique wildlife destination. Most of the vast landscape is uninhabited and undisturbed. A huge variety of game and birds live in this unspoiled wilderness. Game viewing is not overexploited. The visitor in a 4x4 vehicle often feels that he's alone, part of nature in the vast plains and under cobalt blue skies that stretch to the horizon.

A great deal of Africa's game and birdlife can be found in the Okavango Delta, Chobe National Park and across the immense Kalahari, home to Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in the south west and Central Kalahari Game Reserve and Makgadigadi Pans - and Nxai Pan National Park in the centre of Botswana. Game is not restricted to National Parks and Reserves, but can roam freely between the reserves and concession areas. Discovering Botswana is a memorable adventure, although visitors must be aware that there are hardly any facilities in some of the parks.

Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe is home to a variety of Game Parks and offers some of the best wildlife to be found in Southern Africa. With the mighty Zambezi as its northern border Zimbabwe is offers excellent Wildlife Parks bordering on the Zambezi including Mana Pools, Chizarira National Park, Matusadona National Park and Lake Kariba.

Hwange National Park is the largest park in Zimbabwe and only an hour’s drive from the Victoria Falls & Zambezi National Parks, which is a world Heritage Site and one of the ‘Seven wonders of the world’ and one of the largest and most spectacular water falls on earth.

Nyanga National Park is situated in one of the most scenic areas of Zimbabwe’s Eastern Highlands and Gonarezhou National Park is situated in the south eastern lowveld of Zimbabwe

Zambia

Zambia still offers true African Wildlife experiences. With the Mighty Zambezi as its southern border it offers the Victoria Falls, which is one of the ‘Seven wonders of the world’ and one of the largest and most spectacular water falls on earth. The lower Zambezi National park is a true Wildlife experience in a real African sense and is still relatively undeveloped.

Kafue National Park is the oldest Park in Zambia and the second largest national park in the world. The Park is still a raw and diverse slice of African wilderness with excellent game viewing, bird watching and fishing opportunities. Blue Lagoon National Park is a birdwatchers dream. The abundance and variety is astounding and the fact that it has not been opened up until recently and is still undeveloped, makes it one of those last untouched places left in Africa
